Chocolate made its way into history more than three millennia ago. Initially, Aztecs served it without sugar. As chocolate made its way across the ocean, Europeans found they enjoyed it combined with milk and sugar. As the 19th century rolled around, chocolate was finally able to be produced in large quantities so that the average person could afford it.
